Media Welcome Message

Hi! My name is Sora Vernikoff and I’m the author of the previously published Award-Winning and #1 Amazon Best Seller, Eat What You Want! Stop When You Want! A No-Diet, Weight-Loss Program. It was over 20 years ago, that I used to diet, take off the weight and regain it.  At the time, I also taught extremely challenged 4th graders in an inner city school in East New York, Brooklyn and these kids who walked, talked and did all those other things listened to me but food didn’t.  So one day I asked myself, “Sora you have a weight problem because you can’t manage your own food -thoughts and that’s why you can’t eat and stop yourself.”  In addition, no person ever or no book ever explained to me just how to do that.  So I stopped dieting, journaled all my eating experiences, took off 25 pounds and then transferred my classroom “management” techniques to food “management” techniques and created Sora’s Weight-Loss “Management” Program.  I taught this eat and stop yourself no diet, weight-loss program to hundreds and hundreds of unhappy dieters and it ultimately resulted in me writing my Amazon Best Seller, Eat What You Want! Stop When You Want!

Now, at the same time that I was healing myself of my compulsive eating, I was also a smoker and very heavily invested in both negative thoughts and self-doubting thoughts.

So at that time, I also applied a similar method of managing my smoking and negative and self-doubting thinking to non-food thoughts.  In that process I developed a sister mind management program which I titled Sora’s Obsessive/Compulsive “Management” Program.  I used this think and stop yourself program to stop my smoking behavior and then to manage all negative and self-doubting thoughts.

I then went on to each this sister mind “management” program to hundreds of unhappy thinkers who wanted to find a simple way to manage those very disruptive, daily thoughts and go on to make peace with their mind.

My new book, Think What You Want! Stop When You Want! An Overthinker’s Guide to Stop Overthinking teaches the negative thinker and the person trapped in some very challenging behavior one simple question that will give them the choice to manage those negative and disruptive thoughts and therefore any behavior if attached to those thoughts until they appear less frequently and then stop reappearing at all.

So given that Obsessive/Compulsive thinking aka overthinking affects 2.2 million adults, or 1.0% of the U.S. population and is equally common among men and women my book offers a unique question that when asked by the person of themselves will bring them immediate peace of mind, like the delete button on one’s keyboard does.

My new book, Think What You Want! Stop When You Want! An Overthinker’s Guide to Stop Overthinking which teaches this simple think and stop yourself question will soon be available on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com
